About

I work as a senior manager, consultant, facilitator and coach in the international water sector. My drive is to get “things going and working”: giving guidance to complex implementation processes, kick-starting new initiatives, managing large programmes and energizing others to do their work better. Sustainable results count for me, just as practical solutions and realistic approaches.

My thematic fields of expertise are water supply, sanitation and water resources management, especially in the areas of international business and global development. I am building on a combination of technical expertise, managerial experience and people-oriented skills. More important: I can bring authority, wisdom and humor in the different roles that I have, ensuring that activities and projects deliver tangible results.

I am able to work at all levels of strategy development and implementation throughout the whole value chain, for profit and non-profit organizations. My core expertise is in building partnerships, supporting the development of large-scale, international programmes and providing strategic advice for new initiatives and internationally working organizations. I have knowledge and experience of the water sector in many countries in Africa and Asia with in-country specialization for Indonesia and South Africa.

As a coach, I am committed to develop the capabilities and skills of other professionals. Over the last ten years, I have coached more than seventy (young) professionals in their personal and career development, a.o. through the Young Expert Programme (YEP Water and Agrofood). Last but not least: I regularly work as a facilitator for complex or high-level events, enabling a meaningful and interactive dialogue.
