Consultancy

My consultancy work usually has a strategic focus or objective: policy formulation, strategy making, programme development, evaluation of projects and design of new partnership modalities. Clients comprise Ministries, SMEs, knowledge institutes, NGOs, foundations and international networks. Recent assignments included the evaluation of development projects in Indonesia, strategic advice to SMEs in their international expansion and a scenario analysis for a Board of Supervisors.

Process Management, Project management, Interim Management

I have a long track record in initiating and managing large and complex projects; often with a multi-stakeholder and political context. Recent assignments deal with the set-up and process management of two multi-million PPPs (for the insiders: WaterWorX and the Blue Deal). My role can be very diverse: in design of the plan and process, support during the implementation of the plan, trouble-shooting for content-issues or in engaging all stakeholders in the process. Clients are mostly a partnership of (semi-)public authorities (ministries, water companies, water authorities) and other stakeholders.

Coaching & Training

As a coach, I am committed to develop the capabilities and skills of other professionals. Over the last ten years, I have coached more than seventy professionals in their personal (career) development. My own background and career, with my additional coaching education, helps me to understand the dilemmas and challenges of professionals and to help them in ‘recharging their batteries’ and giving more direction to their own career. A lot of my coaching was done through the Young Expert Programme (YEP Water and Agrofood).

Facilitation and Moderation

The combination of substantial knowledge and expertise of water issues, with a solid professional reputation and with strong communications and connecting skills create an ideal basis for moderating and facilitating high-level (international) workshops. Assignments during the last few years have varied from chairing many half-day meetings or workshops with 10 experts to moderating international, high-level policy meetings for 100+ people or facilitating international 2-day seminars for 200 water professionals.
